Back in 2020, nothing felt like a bad idea. In fact, it felt rather a good idea to go on an adventure.
Over two years, architect, author, photographer and – above all – golf course enthusiast Sam Cooper and his wife, Harriet, packed two cocker spaniels, and enough golf clothes for all seasons, into a hastily purchased camper van.
The journey spanned 225 links golf courses across Great Britain, now turned his travels around the coast of Great Britain into a stunning series of journals.
Over 18 volumes, the Links from the Road series will document Sam's journey and love for links golf through photographs, illustrations, essays and memories from this experience.

Sam Cooper is a golf architect, author, photographer and a member of Royal Liverpool Golf Club.
He is the British Associate for the golf architecture firm of Clayton, DeVries & Pont.
